About Metro Communities
Metro Developers and the Metro Communities' family heritage dates back to 1952, when the company founder and first President, Arnold L. Beck, an architect by education, entered into the commercial construction industry from a small office operated out of the family dining room. During the next fifteen years, until his death in 1967, Arnold gathered a devoted following of specialty clients who appreciated the company's devotion to its customers, their unique needs, and their reliance on the founder and the company's integrity.
Building upon the foundation developed by the company's founder, family members guided the company during years of growth in commercial construction and development. Through the 1970's, the company developed and built a multitude of schools, churches, and manufacturing and retail buildings, along with company owned and operated facilitates serving the hospitality industry in such far flung places as Richmond, Virginia; Raleigh, North Carolina; and Chicago, Illinois.
From 1972 to 1978, Metro Developers was also very active in the development of multi-family homes, but it was not until 1985 that the company decided to focus its talent, time, and resources on the development and management of multi-family residential communities.
Today, Metro Developers and the Metro Communities team adhere to the principles of the founding president, developing multifaceted projects and managing quality multi-family residential communities with the same devotion to customer service and fundamental integrity that Arnold promoted in 1952.
